Chris Moorman Collects His 30th Triple Crown

A player achieves the Triple Crown in online poker when he or she wins a poker event on three separate poker sites in a 7-day period. The UK’s Chris Moorman is the undisputed master of the Triple Crown, which poker statistics site PocketFives created as a way to honor online card players.

Recently, Chris Moorman won his 30th Triple Crown, which extends his record in the field. Moorman is the winningest online poker player in multi-table tournament history. As such, PokerFives month ago bestowed on him the 2018 PokerFives Legacy Award during its Global Poker Awards.

This time, he won events on PokerStars, AmericasCardroom, and Partypoker. The three events totaled around $25,000 combined, but the winnings helped Moorman added to another career record.

The prize money added to Chris Moorman’s record in online poker earnings, which sits at $15,936,453.

Online Poker Triple Crown Winners

When it comes to Triple Crowns, Chris Moorman has only one rival even in the same ballpark. Nicolas ‘PokerKaiser’ Fierro now sits at 21 Triple Crowns in his cardroom career. Only three other players collected double-digit Triple Crowns.

‘Belabacsi’ of Hungary holds 11 Triple Crowns. Meanwhile, ‘aces_up4108’ of Australia holds 10 Triple Crowns, while and Sam ‘TheSquid’ Grafton of the UK is tied with aces_up4108 at the 10 mark.

Readers can see that it is not easy to pad one’s count, even if the size of one’s winnings are not a factor. Winning three or more multi-table poker tournaments in a week’s time is a feat.

Second place is ‘lena900’, hold won just under a million dollars less than Moorman at $14.87 million. ‘C Darwin2’ holds third place with $12.56 million, while Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar stands just a bit behind at $12.42 million.

Finally, ‘p0cket00’ of Canada rounds out the Top 5 with $12.27 million in poker earnings. It is notable that Chris Moorman is the only player to appear on both lists.

Chris Moorman focuses on the process instead of achievements in his online poker career. When he joined Team 888poker in June 2016, the UK legend told Bluff Magazine, “I just want to play my absolute best, and hopefully, good things will happen. I will be in most of the No Limit events and some of the PLO as well.”
