Five Poker Players With Scores of WSOP Cashes But No Bracelet
There are poker players who frequent the World Series of Poker (WSOP) every year without fail. They enter dozens of events, reach the money in those tournaments, but still have no bracelet.
Dylan Linde is one of those players. The Idaho-born grinder won the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo/Limit Omaha Hi-Lo/Big O Mixed event on October 10. The victory awarded Linde his first bracelet on his 85th WSOP cash. Victory brought an end to his bracelet drought, but the following star still have no bracelet on their wrists.
Roland Israelashvilli Has 134 Cashes But No Bracelet
Roland Israelashvilli holds the unwanted record for WSOP cashes with no bracelet at the end of them. Israelashvili has racked up 134 WSOP cashes but has no bracelet to show for them. Add to that another 18 WSOP Europe cashes and that is 152 in-the-money finishes with no bracelet.
The New York resident is a race car enthusiast and he has many podium finishes in the poker world. A third-place finish in 2013 is the closest Israelashvili has come to winning some poker gold. That came in the $1,111 Little One Drop and came with a $295,433 score.
He does have victories on the WSOP Circuit, eight in fact. How he would love a bracelet to join them.
Matt Stout Has No Bracelet From 89 WSOP Cashes
Matt Stout has $4,268,966 in lifetime winnings with $1,454,407 of that sum stemming from the WSOP in Las Vegas. Stout accumulated that money via 89 cashes, but he still has no bracelet to his name.
The New Jersey-born grinder has two third-place finishes in WSOP events. He finished third in 2012 in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, and third again in 2014 in a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event. Stout came close again in 2021, busting from the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Online event in fourth place.
Allen Kessler Has Three Brings But No Bracelet
Pennsylvania’s Allen Kessler comes in third in the leaderboard showing WSOP cashes but no bracelet. Kessler, who is known as “Chainsaw,” has 76 cashes in Vegas and another 12 in Europe, but no jewelry to show for his efforts. However, Kessler has three circuit rings from 96 cashes.
Kessler has come agonisingly close to winning poker gold on four occasions but fell at the final hurdle. Runner-up finishes in the $2,500 Omaha Hi-Lo in 2005 and a second-place finish in the 2010 $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo Championship awarded big prizes but no bracelet.
Additional bridesmaid finishes in 2011 and 2017 keep Kessler’s wrists void of bracelets.
Daniel Buzgon Is Racking Up Cashes But Not Wins
New Jersey star Daniel Buzgon still has no bracelet despite 70 WSOP cashes. However, he has eight circuit rings from his 85 in the money finishes. Buzgon has finished twice at the 2021 WSOP, both in online poker events. Both those cashes were in $3,200 High Roller events, and came with $126,882 and $149,386 scores.
It is surprising to learn Buzgon is yet to reach a live WSOP final table. He finished tenth in a $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Mix Max in 2012 but never into the final nine or better.
Vinny Pahuja Wrists Are Void of Bracelets
Vinny Pahuja is a WSOP regular since his first cash in 2009. Pahuja has navigated his way into the money in 63 WSOP events and 60 circuit events, but has no bracelet.
The serial casher has two live WSOP final tables on his resume. He finished seventh in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em event in 2014. Pahuja also finished ninth in 2016 in a turbo No-Limit Hold’em tournament.
The New Yorker has a shade over $3 million in live tournament winnings, a figure he increases year on year.
