Online poker festivals create multi-table tournaments (MTT) with huge prize pools and, therefore, massive prizes. The five biggest online MTT prizes of all-time are worth almost $11.4 million combined!

Online poker sites aren’t restricted by space so their tournaments can be as big as they wish. They’re also not limited to players who have travelled to the tournament, players grind online from the comfort of their own homes.

These online festivals and their tournaments continually grow. They could get even larger with live poker off the calendar for the foreseeable future. Will they grow to such a size that these biggest online prizes are beaten?

partypoker Has Four of the Five Biggest Online MTT Prizes Ever

PokerStars is the world’s largest online poker site and by a huge margin. You’d think they’d hold the record for the biggest online MTT prizes ever, but you’re wrong. partypoker has the top spot. It also has the second, fourth and fifth place in these rankings.

Everyone thought partypoker had gone mad when they announced the guarantee of the 2018 MILLIONS Online. The 2017 edition featured a $5 million guarantee, which they quadrupled to $20 million for 2018.

Build it and they shall come is how the saying goes and they certainly came. The guarantee was hit and blown out of the water. Some of the biggest online MTT prizes ever waited to be won.

First-place in the 2018 MILLIONS Online was meant to be $2,729,376, which is incredible. This was never awarded because the final two players struck a deal for the remaining prize pool.

Two players had already become millionaires before these huge prizes were dished out. Pedro “Maddonaa” Marques finished fourth and won $1,091,750. “Scarmak3r” busted in third and banked $1,364,687.

Malta-based Dutchman Pim “ForMatherRussia” de Goede finished second as par of the deal. He walked away with $2,309,994. Manuel “Sheparentao” Ruivo was crowned the champion and he collected a cool $2,329,943.

These two scores are the two biggest online MTT prizes today and will take some beating.

PokerStars’ Entry Into the Biggest Online MTT Prizes Leaderboard

PokerStars held the record for the biggest online MTT prizes for almost a decade. It’s WCOOP Main Events created several millionaires before it all went nuts in 2010.

A bumper crowd of 2,443 players exchanged $5,200 for the chance of a life-changing prize. The prize pool weighed in at $12,215,000 and first-place made $2,278,097 of that princely sum.

Tyson “POTTERPOKER” Marks was the last man standing and he locked up the gargantuan prize. He’s since disappeared from the online poker scene because of the Black Friday. Marks no longer players live poker either with his last cash coming at the 2014 WSOP. At least he can enjoy retirement knowing he has one of the biggest online MTT prizes ever won.

2019 MILLIONS Online Enters Fourth and Fifth

The 2019 MILLIONS Online featured a $10,300 buy-in, which made for fewer entrants. The event still surpassed its $20 million guarantee, however, and four players became millionaires.

“Rank 1 Global” and “nomeansyes” busted in fourth and third place for $1,107,225 and $1,370,850 respectively. This left “Lucio” and Benjamin “frenchsniperrr” Chalot as the only remaining players.

The pair struck a deal, just like in the 2018 edition of MILLIONS Online. The deal saw both players win more than $2.2 million.

Lucio is officially credited with second-place, an accolade that came with a $2,222,511 prize. Chalot became the latest MILLIONS Online champion, he padded his bankroll with $2,259,113!

Chalot is a talented Frenchman who lives in Budapest, Hungary. He ranks third in the biggest online MTT prizes of all-time and it’ll go even further in Hungary.
